What do you see in this image? It may not look like much, but when taken in the context of where it is you’re looking at, the mysterious blob takes on a whole new meaning.
Jason Cooke, a security guard from Nottingham, England, was browsing the popular satellite mapping website Google Earth when he spotted “Nessie” in Loch Ness, Scotland. He reported his discovery to the British tabloid The Sun.
“I couldn't believe it. It's just like the descriptions of Nessie.”
The exact coordinates of the monster are at Latitude 57°12'52.13"N, Longitude 4°34'14.16"W on Google Earth.
Here is the actual image on Google Earth. Feel free to zoom in and out and move around to inspect the surrounding area.

Google Earth: Loch Ness
Whether this really is the fabled Loch Ness Monster or not, whatever it is it’s big. Here are some size comparisons next to two other objects in the area, a boat and and a large building at the very south of the Loch. These are all at the same magnification.
I’m hoping someone can use these (or other screen captures) to get an approximate size of this anomaly. Any calculations?
